How Mobile Desktop Works
 

ATG replaces your bulky computer with a thin unit about the size of a paperback book. The thin unit is not a smaller computer; it is a conduit. It stores absolutely nothing, so it can't crash, become infected with viruses, or be infiltrated by anyone. You access your Windows desktop and all of your data by using a smart card, inserted directly into the thin unit. At any time you are able to remove the smart card and place it in another unit, in the same or another location, and your Windows desktop instantly appears just as you left it, as do all of your applications, software, and email. All applications will be securely delivered through the Internet and run from our managed data center. Applications will work exactly as if they were running from a local computer. All the servers, applications, and files are housed within our secure data center. Our customers benefit from improved mobility, reliability, security, and a far more stable environment compared with traditional computers.

Applications are stored securely, monitored for performance, and delivered seamlessly from our servers.  Customers can choose any operating system environment, and can run any cross-platform application within that environment. For example, users are able to run a Windows application on a MAC OS X desktop. Ashbourne Technology Group can host 99% of Windows-compatible applications and almost any industry-specific or custom-built Windows-compatible application. You can also request that any software title be added to the list of applications hosted by Ashbourne Technology Group at any time.
 
Application performance and servers are constantly monitored for health, speed, load, temperature, memory usage, and other performance indicators. As technology improves, we continually add equipment to improve performance and accommodate growth. Our goal is for applications to perform equally well or better than if they were running on a local computer. We deliver this level of performance regardless of the resources required.

With Mobile Desktop you can call or request support any time. We are your helpdesk. We can troubleshoot your connection, help you with an application error, or answer any type of IT question.
